About
Daniels County was founded in the year of 1920 and named after Mansfield Daniels. The Sheriff Office was formed that same year. The Office is located in Scobey, named after Mansfield's friend Charles Scobey. The first Sheriff elected was David Martin and the Coroner was James Sparling. The current Sheriff/Coroner is Sheriff Skip Baldry, his UnderSheriff is Aaron Conner.
UnderSheriff Aaron Conner was appointed UnderSheriff on June 1st 2016. He had worked as a Detention/Corrections Officer for 3 years in Cascade County Sheriff’s Office. He has been serving in the Air National Guard since 2010 and in 2015 was deployed over seas with the 219th RHS. UnderSheriff Aaron Conner loves all of Daniels County and wish’s to continue to support the Citizens of the community.
Sheriff Skip Baldry has served the County for 26 years. He swore in as a Deputy on February 4th 1991, became UnderSheriff on Sept 3rd 1996 and was elected Sheriff/Coroner on January 1st 2007. Sheriff Baldry has not only served the county but also in the Military in the Army for 2 years and as an Army National Guardsman for 16 years. Sheriff Baldry is dedicated to serve the community and is honored to be the Chief Law enforcement Officer of Daniels County.
